About Me
Hey there! I'm a Software Development Engineer based in Sydney, Australia.
How it all started
I've always been a problem solver at heart. Even as a kid, I could spend hours lost in thought, working through puzzles and figuring out how things work. There was something deeply satisfying about finding solutions that just clicked.
Then I discovered computers and the internet — and everything changed. I was absolutely fascinated by this magical box that could answer any question I had. The idea that knowledge was just a search away felt like having a superpower. I knew right then that I wanted to be part of this world.
That passion led me to pursue Computer Engineering, where I got to dive deep into both hardware and software. After graduating, I landed my first web developer role at a shipping company. Later, I joined a Rails development shop where I truly learned the craft — and fell in love with Ruby on Rails' elegance and philosophy of convention over configuration.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Where I am today
With over 10 years of experience, I've had the privilege of delivering seamless user experiences and innovative solutions using technologies like Ruby/Rails, AWS, React.js, and more.
I've contributed to a variety of industries, including tech consulting, financial services, and media & marketing, working closely with teams across tech, product, and compliance.
Beyond the code
When I'm not coding, I write about things that pop up in my mind, get hypnotized by cat videos that somehow keep me watching for hours, listen to classic jazz, hit the gym, or let out my competitive side (sometimes with some colourful language 🙊) while playing Mobile Legends.
Recently, I've been dedicating my free time to my side project, Airtraca — a property management software to track bookings, expenses, income, inventory, and more. Built with Rails, Tailwind CSS, and Stimulus, with Android and iOS apps. Check it out!
